Près de Plouégat-Guerrand, le père partit chez un voisin, la mère à sa lessive, le feu prit dans la maison. Tous furent effrayés par les cloches sonnant le tocsin et dans les flammes, trois petits enfants. Le père se jeta dans le feu pour les sauver. Tous pleuraient en voyant les trois innocents morts dans le feu. Et le dimanche, pour la messe des Anges, toute l’assistance était en larmes.
