Quand François « interdit » et son ami rentrent de la ville ils rencontrent quatre « messieurs » en redingote, moustaches cirées et petite canne, qui se moquent d’eux : « Les pommes de terre pour les cochons, les épluchures pour les Bretons ! ». François : « Interdit aux chiens gallos [français ?] de se moquer des Bretons ». Il leur met une raclée et ils se sauvent en sautant dans la rivière. « -Voilà qui vous apprendra qui est le cochon, de vous ou de moi ! ».
